Transition Local Authorities emerge

In July 2008, Somerset County Council unanimously supported a resolution to become a “Transition Local Authority” – adopting the Transition Town principles and putting energy use and climate change into the mix in future planning, reported Post Carbon Cities. You can read the resolution in this PDF.

In December 2008, Leicestershire County Council did the same.

I expect that in 2009 more Local Authorities will also become Transition Local Authorities. When will the Councils in the BH area do the same?
