The Bournemouth and Poole “Big Green Fortnight” was a great success, with over 100 people attending the Transition BH Party on Saturday and many people learning about Transition throughout the period.

: “Just wanted to say what a brilliant day this was. Thanks to everybody, who made this day a success,. obviously they worked hard to make this and the green fortnight a success. Our garden welcomed everybody in,from the young man, who was so inspired by our crops he was going straight home to dig his mums lawn up sorry Mum! Gary can be inspirational when he wants to be, to the lady who confessed to being older and not being able to do much physical work(not me) just to sit and enjoy as it reminded her of her parents garden. Ireally enjoyed the day and it was so good to speak to so many like minded people Well done Cheers Jan”
Lindley Owen said that “the event in the Pavilion would have been a wash out without Transition; our display was brilliant. Attendance was disappointing- we really needed a short, sharp shower to drive people in from the beach and gardens! However, those who did come were very interesting people, who have a lot of ‘clout’. I came away with some excellent advice on community development, the recycling industry, and how to slash my energy bills while improving my lighting at the same time!”
